INTRODUCTION

LIMKHA is a Close corporation and is wholly Black based company started by women hailing from the previously disadvantaged communities. The company started in 2004 and became fully functional in 2005. Our first project included catering and cleaning services that were successfully carried out for the local SMME’s during their social and burial functions in and around Pretoria, Mpumalanga, Sedibeng including areas in Ekurhuleni. Today the company has been successful to obtain multiple support and growth from long term and ad-hoc contracts.

Our company has eleven (11) full time employees, 5 contracted employees and more than 10 sessional assistants. The two functional directors are supported by 4 senior experienced managers project administrator, and operational team that help to oversee implementation and day to day operations. Both our directors oversee and supervise new projects including ad-hoc contract and once off requests. The finance manager is on a fixed term consultancy services and is fundamental for the progress and sustainability of our company.

The other sessional personnel (10) are employed as administrators and general assistants, Plant Hire Operators (TLB’s, Excavator’s, Tippers and Water Bowsers) while others are Drivers in our Transport rental division. Some of these personnel are appointed according to the projects scope, duration and terms of reference we have with our clients while others are from our subcontracted affiliates. The company’s marketing division is managed by an independent contractor who will come on board on a fixed term contract when the company expands and get more business. We currently have other ad-hoc personnel operational in other various sectors, mining and community projects in Limpopo, Mpumalanga & North West Provinces.
